I am not a big fan of "dance" (is that what they call it?) music, but I downloaded this awesome remix of a song by Ryukyu Underground that I am loving. It is called "Mo Ashibi" [Jason Bentley Remix]. I dunno what it is...the song evokes an atmosphere and you feel like your somewhere else. You guys are all probably like, oh god aldebaran... stop hitting that peace pipe! hahaha

WOW. I just listened to this band called Ikarus, and the song "Icebreaker" is unbelievable! I cried, and I'm not afraid to admit it either

did i mention already? there is a song that sounds almost like zero7
it's called "i believe in you" and apparently it's from the band "luminius" but there's a lot of confusion about that band name... some write it "luminous" some write "lumininius"....... aaanyway: here's a link to the preview: http://www.goear.com/listen.php?v=cf6a897 [out of town] |

I think Fans of Zero 7 should listen to the following artists:
Ivy Air Theivery Corps Esthero Frou Frou & Imogen heap Even though zero 7 has a pretty unique sound, which is why they remain my untopped favorite, these bands come as close to being on the same level. If today is all we see, then tomorrow seems to be just an illusion we believe. |

Although Gustavo Cerati is a Latin rock artist, he has made some trip-hop trance kinda tunes...My favorite are:
Raiz Cosas Imposibles Sulky Torteval Conzumel Understand it or not the beats and soundscapes are amazing. Truly worth givin' it a go. |

i'm sure that this was probably posted on the old board, but "the cinematic orchestra" are an amazing group from britain. to be quite honest, no other group that i can think of has caught my attention this quickly since zero 7 themselves. a great album to start off with would probably be "man with a video camera".. great stuff =)
catch a falling star... |

It doesn't hurt that they're playing with Ingrid Eto in the Amsterdam concert...Cinematic Orchestra + Zero 7 in Amsterdam...I'll pay money to someone who shows me something better...
